Orlando Florida Is a great favorite of the British holiday maker. It is probably best known for being the home of Walt Disney World which opened back in 1971 with it's first park Magic Kingdom.
Some 30 years later Walt Disney World's now has for 4 main parks; Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom and two water parks Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. With other theme parks in the area such as Universal's "Universal Studios" and "Islands of Adventure" parks and Sea World the home of Shamu the killer whale Orlando is now the theme park capital of the world.
The theme parks contain plenty to do for all ages with plenty enough entertainment to fill at least two weeks worth of holiday. There's also a number of other places to go besides the theme parks such as Gatorland, Wet 'n Wild, Splendid China and Downtown Disney.
There are loads of great value factory outlets, shopping malls, restaurants, and accommodation throughout the area. The main accommodation areas are Lake Buena Vista, Kissimmee, and International Drive. Lake Buena Vista is closest to Walt Disney World, with International Drive being the furthest from Disney but the closest to Universal Studios.
